WTVT Invests in Plura Broadcast Monitors
Phoenix, Ariz. July 29, 2009 – FOX 13 WTVT-TV, a FOX O&O station in Tampa, Fla., has invested in new monitors from Plura Broadcast, a leading manufacturer of high-end professional LCD monitors for studio and field use.
FOX 13 News produces 54 hours of news per week, including nine of hours each weekday, for the Tampa-St. Petersburg market, currently the 13th largest designated market area (DMA) in the United States. Plura PBM-124 24-inch monitors are being used in the station’s graphics areas, audio booth, and control room. “Broadcasters like WTVT need affordable, high-quality monitors that can stand up to the relentless production schedules of local news,” said Ray Kalo, Plura president and CEO. “Plura monitors provide the reliability they need without compromising image quality or features.” WTVT purchased the LCD monitors through COMMAND Corporation, a professional video integrator based in Clearwater, Fla.
